Guide
Before you commit to a tool, a short checklist pays off. Six points that decide the cost and the headaches in the end, and an honest word on where avoo is strong and where it is not.

Go through them in order, ideally with every provider you talk to.
Write down what you do every day: classes and appointments, passes and memberships, the front-desk till, an online shop, an app for members, pay and shifts for your team. Then check whether the software does this out of the box, with no add-on module and no surcharge for every second feature.
avoo brings bookings, passes, the till, a shop, a member app and a staff app in one tool, with no module kit.
Ask about the minimum term, the notice period and any setup fee. A yearly contract is fine as long as the software delivers what it promises. But you should be able to test before you commit.
avoo is cancellable monthly, with no yearly contract. You test first and stay only as long as it fits you.
Two costs like to blur together: your payment provider’s fee (you always pay that) and a platform commission on top, per booking or as a percentage of revenue. Have the total cost worked out at your revenue, not just the base price.
avoo takes no booking commission. You pay a fixed monthly price, the transaction fee goes straight to your payment provider, with no markup.
When the till jams on a Saturday morning, what counts is how fast someone answers. Ask which channels you get help on (phone, email, chat), how fast, in which language, and whether a human answers in the end or just a form.
With avoo you write straight to a small team, by email (info@avoo.ch) and WhatsApp. No ticket maze, usually an answer the same business day.
Your members, passes and revenue are yours. Ask whether you can export them at any time and how a switch works. Where the data sits (Switzerland, EU) and who sees it belongs on the same list.
avoo runs on Swiss infrastructure, you can get at your data, and a migration mode helps you across the switch when you start.
Software from abroad can do a lot, but often not TWINT, not the Swiss way of invoicing and not your language. Check that your members’ payment methods are there and that the interface and emails appear in your studio’s language.
avoo speaks five languages (German, English, French, Italian, Dutch) and supports TWINT through the Swiss payment providers.
The same checklist, front to back, briefly with the answers for avoo:
Whether it really covers your day, how long you are tied in, whether a commission sits on your bookings and whether you can reach a human fast in an emergency. The base price alone says little.
It ranges from cancellable monthly to one or two year contracts, often with a setup fee. Ask about the minimum term and the notice period, and test before you sign. avoo is cancellable monthly.
A commission is an amount the platform takes per booking or as a percentage of your revenue, on top of your payment provider’s fee. Have the total cost worked out at your revenue. With avoo there is no booking commission.
You reach avoo support straight through email (info@avoo.ch) and WhatsApp, at a small team that usually answers the same business day. So you do not end up in a queue, but with a person.
Don’t let price stop you: we’ll give you the base licence free until your old contract runs out. Switch without paying twice. Let’s talk.
Let’s talk →Take these points into your next talk with a provider. And if you want to see how avoo feels, test it before you sign anywhere.
